RM of Dufferin taxes are due at par on TUESDAY OCTOBER 31, 2023. If paying by cheque, please make cheques out to the RM OF DUFFERIN. The rate of interest charged on any outstanding taxes after the above noted due date, will be 1¼% per month or 15% per annum, applied on the first day of each month, beginning November 1.

PLEASE NOTE: Changes have been made to the Manitoba Education Property Tax Rebate and the amount of the rebate WILL be reduced on your tax bill. The Province will also be sending an Education Property Tax Rebate cheque directly to property owners equal to 50% based on your gross education property taxes payable, before the tax credits are applied. How will this affect your monthly and annual tax payments?

If you received a Tax Credit Advance of $437.50 in 2022 on your tax bill, you would now see a credit of up to $350.00. The province will mail a rebate cheque directly to you in the month taxes are due of 50% of your gross Education Property Tax.

This change will have an impact on the payments you put into your tax accounts on monthly or annual basis, and you may end up short when your taxes become due. If applicable, we have included a letter outlining the balance you will have in your tax account and the amount that will be required to pay before tax due date. To ensure you have enough in your tax account or wish to increase your monthly payment, please contact the Dufferin office at 204-745-2301.

There are payment options available to you. Any ratepayer wishing to make monthly or annual preauthorized tax payments may do so by contacting the RM of Dufferin office and making the necessary arrangements. RM of Dufferin taxes may also be paid through the Bank-by-phone or Internet option offered by your banking institution. You may also pay your tax bill at the RM of Dufferin office by Direct Payment (debit card), cash or cheque. Before using your Debit Card to pay your taxes, please check with your bank to ensure your daily limit will allow the payment. Credit Card payments MAY be made through the RM’s website ONLY. Please be advised you will be paying all fees associated with the credit card transaction.
