Services Offered:
- They can assist you with the following topics: business plan preparation, cash flow projections, business resource library, market information and bookkeeping assistance.
- They provide repayable loans to entrepreneurs that wish to start their own business. The loans have the following characteristics: repayable loans up to $150,000, fixed interest rate of Prime +3%, maximum 5 year term, minimum of 10% owner equity required, available to new or expanding businesses, employment creation is required.
- Community Futures Heartland has partnered with Manitoba Advanced Education and Training to provide eligible Employment Insurance recipients the opportunity to start their own business. The program provides EI benefits while you start and grow your business.

The Town of Carman and the RM of Dufferin are at the heart of the Greater Area (GA) Ag Production Innovation Hub providing easy access to all the resources and opportunities the Hub has to offer. In close proximity to the U.S. border and a network of high-density communities, the RM of Dufferin and the Town of Carman are pleased to provide land for sale for a variety of industrial business opportunities through the Dufferin Industrial Park. Pay Back Period Required: 6 Years
To calculate the price per acre:
- Take the number of acres required multiplied by $8,500 = Base Cost
- Multiply 6 Years by RM’s portion of taxes of your taxable assets for 1 year = Revenue
- Subtract Revenue from Base Cost and divide the answer by Acres required = Cost per Acre
Note:
If desired, the Cost per Acre might be further negotiated between the RM of Dufferin Council and the Purchaser.
If the Cost per Acre is negative, the price reverts to $1.00.
The RM of Dufferin is responsible for all water drainage and the creation and maintenance of all road systems in the Industrial Park. Rural water hook up is the responsibility of the Purchaser.
